Agony aunt Claire Rayner has died at of 79. She's been ill for sometime. RIP

Duh ... I never twigged that Jay Rayner was her son!!! Blimey you've only got to look at him ... but I honestly never made the connection before.

Very gutsy woman. Didn't always agree with absolutely everything she said, but nevertheless she certainly packed plenty into her 79 years, not least a marriage that lasted 53 years.

Always seemed like a good old bord.

I've heard this from a couple of sources this morning that her last words were

"Tell David Cameron that if he screws up my beloved NHS I'll come back and bloody haunt him."

Yeah, they keep banging on about that.

This was the same woman who was a director of the company which put premium-rate payphones and entertainment consoles into NHS hospital wards.
