Bob Harris, David Jenson and Nicholas Parsons are also nominees.

Bob Harris definitely deserves an award for his 40 years of excellent broadcasting and musical knowledge.

I'm really pleased for DLT one of the greatest and most entertaining broadcasters over the last 40 years in my opinion
I just wish he could be brought back to the BBC
Bob is also very deserving of such an award and hopefully the powers that be will see this and keep him on Radio 2 where I think he deserves a greater role

I've certainly nothing against DLT recieving an award. I used to listen to him on Radio 1 in Pre Bannister days and enjoyed the shows. Definitely Bob Harris deserves an honour of some description for his career, and more sociable hours for his weekend show! I hope both are forthcoming soonest!

So does David Jensen, who does a very fine radio show on Planet Rock on Sundays in addition to pairing up with Rick Wakeman on Saturday mornings. I have recording of one of his Saturday shows on Radio One in the early 70s and it was easy to see why John Peel rated him highly.

If anything he's even better today. If DLT is up for a gong then Mr. Jensen must certainly qualify too!

Didn't DLT once receive an award from Noel Edmonds? It was well deserved, I have to say.

I've met him a couple of times including in Ilfracombe Devon when he was doing the Radio 1 Roadshow and staying in the same hotel as me and I once appeared on 'Give Us a Break'

He is a really nice guy and so down to earth
Plus he loves animals and that's good enough for me Very Happy

I once recorded an interview with him (recording as in pressing the buttons as someone else asked the questions) with DLT at Santa Pod Raceway in Northants. He invited us all for a drink afterwards and was really friendly and sociable. He was still at Radio One at the time.
