I thought the album was released in 1998? Long time for the single to come out, unless she's planning on trading in on her new-found popularity re Doctor Who.... _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”

Oh yes, I forgot all about that. Shows how much notice I take of the charts, doesn't it, although wasn't Moyles leading some campaign on R1 to get four obscure tracks downloaded a lot to get them in the Top 10? _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”

There is no physical CD single or any album being released. It has entered purely on downloads
What happened is that last Monday Chris Moyles and his team each picked a track and during the week they were encouraging listeners to download these tracks to try to get them into the Top 40. Chris suceeded but I think only one of the others made the Top 200 |

Another British institution sadly bows out, then, although manipulation of the charts has been known for a while now - it's just making news now.
I take it the downloads will only be recorded from a number of sites? Many indie singer-songwriters won't therefore get a look in as they have their own web-sites for downloads and CD sales. _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”

Maybe they should include Youtube as one of the chart-related download sites...... but strictly speaking one is only listening to Youtube free, and not paying for a download.

It was actually an idea by Doctor Who fans to get the New Series composer into the charts - and after the "campaign" appeared in the newspapers Moyles nicked the idea and campaigned for Billie instead.
So Billie ends up with a Top 20 single (again) but the Doctor Who music didn't even get in the Top 200 - thanks Chris
At least Jonathan Ross played the Doctor Who song on his show on Saturday. |

Does Ross tune into Moyles show? |

I assume Ross was e-mailed by enthusiastic Doctor Who fans! |
