How good is the Suzie Quatro show on Radio 2? Just the thing for a thursday evening - vintage rock n roll, r n b & countrywonderfully presented by rockin' Suzi herself!

I've never listened to her. I'm always out when she's on. She does strike me as someone who knows her stuff though.

These days thursday evenings are quite good for (as far as being in). I often forget to listen, but when I do I always enjoy it. She is certainly very knowlegable about the music, & has a very nice presentation style

I don't always get to listen but must admit, when I do, it's always been an excellent show.

I caught the last 15 minutes of her show and ended up wishing I'd heard the rest of it - another candidate for "Listen Again", methinks.... Smile

I'm very nearly fully booked for 'Listen Again' Just as I think I've got the full quota <so that I can join in with comments> someone mentions someone else, i.e. Suzy Quatro. My social life may suffer and it's all your fault Very Happy

Hey, don't blame me, Natasha! Embarassed

Whilst I'm not really a fan of 50s and 60s music, she was interesting to listen to and the music was starting to grow on me a bit by the end of the hour - managed to hear it yesterday afternoon.

Anyway, like you, I'm having problems of my own trying to fit in about thirty hours of R2 a week into twenty hours of spare time - the housework's getting neglected, the car hasn't been washed in three weeks and it's been two weeks since I managed anything longer than a five-mile walk! As for a social life, what's that again? Sad

I think I'll have to invest in some wireless speakers for the PC this Xmas so I can do the chores around the house whilst still Listening Again to R2....

I love Radio 2's Thursday night line up from Chris @ 5 to Harris @ 7, Jones @ 8 and Suzi @ 9, its 5 hours of the best radio anywhere on the planet. Radio 2's got Thursdays sorted.

Typical. I spent mine at a Chrstmas party last week. But Radio 2 has got a great thing going on Thursdays.

Shame she's not on Sunday nights instead. Suzi Q would liven them up in place of the granny garbage! Laughing

I've only just started to listen to Suzi on Listen Again and the 2 shows I've heard have been fantastic. I'm now annoyed with myself for not checking her out sooner. Sad

Yes, I've certainly enjoyed what I've heard so far. I have this week's show to look forward to sometime over the weekend - maybe between 9-11 on Saturday evening! Smile

Just someone who's clearly interested in her subject matter, has some relevant experience and knowledge of the acts concerned, and puts it all across in a fairly understated fashion. IMHO, of course. YMMV. Smile

(The era itself is not necessarily my cup of tea, since I wasn't around at the time, but I appreciate the way she's putting it across and I'm learning new stuff at the same time.)
