A firearms officer who fired one of the fatal shots which killed Mark Saunders following a stand off has been alledged inserting song lyrics whilst given evidence.

---------

Remarkable discovery, What an idiot the officer is.

I read it twice and still don't get what the hell it is they're talking about! Used song titles in what?

While he was giving evidence,Santa he AZ8 (the policeman in question)used the phrases "point of no return", a hit by Duran Duran, and "line of fire", a song recorded by rock band Journey.

He also used the phrase "first time", the title of a 1988 number one by Robin Beck, "enough is enough", the subtitle of hit single No More Tears by Barbra Streisand and Donna Summer, and "you have got to have faith", a line from the chorus of Faith, a George Michael hit from 1987.

This is one of the oddest things I've heard in a long time...if it turns out to be true

Thanks Becky.. I would think most of those would be used in such a stand off in any case... are they suggesting the pc deliberately used song titles whilst giving evidence in court? or could it be just a coincidence...

We used to do that in our Friday morning weekly meeting at work, when we were eating doughnuts and talking about progress, I don't think I'd do it in court though. Gosh.
