| BBC one flag ship cookery show is to be axed after 16 years. Fern Britton made her a household name before Ainsley Harriot took over, although i think he's become smug now. |

I'd have been happy for a psycho vegetarian to gun the presenters down!

| I applied years ago to appear on the show. So many people do this every year, and never got picked. I heard they stop filming when the food is hot on the plates at the end to let it cool down. Then they eat the food cold. |

And on occasions the crew have jumped in and eaten it before they've got their final "setting" shots! |
