I suppose you are right, Ruddles. We shall await the outcome of the review
I am disapointed, though, that the several complaints made by a number of Jewish candidates that their Lib dem oponents had used rabble rousing anti-Jewish prejudice to galvanise their campaigns
Gerald Kaufman made a complaint about this but it was never followed up. Oonah King also complained that canvassers on behalf of George Galloway were telling Muslim voters they must not vote for her as she is a "Jewess" but again no action was taken.
As for untrue allegations, how about all the rediculous assertions in the US that Obama is a Muslim? |

Clive I agree and I think a lot of candidates are guilty of telling untruths about their opponents which is always wrong in a democratic society
I think the cardinal sin of Mr Woolas was y putting it in writing in an official election leaflet
It seems people can sometimes get away with it off the record but if you go beyond this you are inviting a major problem
I'm just surprised that the guy was so naive as he had been Immigration Minister in the Blair Government
Mind you if you recall he struggled to handle Joanna Lumley so perhaps the writing was on the wall then _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

I don't think that is acceptable that an extremist group like the Muslim Public Affairs Committee is deciding election results.
The MPAC officially adopted the Lib Dem candidate as "their" candidate- something Mr Watkins did not rebuff.
The MPAC are a racist & extremist organization. It is alarming that the Lib Dems are now aligned with them, more so that the Lib Dems are now in government |
