Does it say if he's coming back to SOTS as well?

Ian.

Shame. I shall miss Michael Ball. I think he hosts the Sunday teatime slot a lot better than what Johnnie Walker does.

Ian

I would say more than likely as RT says he is doing it . Also Susi Quatro made no mention of another standin in the way that Sandie and Joe both did at the end of their shows.

It will be great to have Johnnie back on Sunday 7 Jan, I have enjoyed MB standing in for Johnnie and must agree that he is an excellent presenter. If Brian is not back for SOTS, I hope that Johnnie will be standing in until his return, before too long. IMHO, I didn't think that any of the stand ins, other than Johnnie, really fitted into presenting SOTS; although I enjoyed much of the music Suzi Q played, and I do enjoy her evening show, I was disappointed with her doing SOTS.

Have to agree completely with Scott.

Michael Ball was excellent standing in for Johnnie Walker on Sunday afternoons. MB has a great voice for radio-very upbeat.

I hope MB is considered for more Radio 2 appearances in the future.

I heard that Michael Ball is a judge on ITV1's new Soap Superstar programme. Talk about a change of direction! I wonder if he will be the nice or the nasty one.

Johnnie Walker's back on the 7th January. Oh, sorry, I was re-gurgitating the BBC Radio 2 website news. Just like Mark, in fact! Laughing

Johnnie mentioned that Brian Matthew would be back early in February.
This is good and welcome news for all SOTS fans
