I wonder if anyone else listening in on today's popmaster thought the winner cheated.
I was driving along almost shouting at the radio telling Mr Bruce to kick the cheating so and so off the air.
I'm almost certain that KB suspected cheating as the count down was brought in on almost all of his questions.
He shouldn't have been allowed to continue.
The three in ten was where the cheating became undeniable!
"Three UK single chart hits for...
Genesis"
"Silence...
Silence...
Silence...
*PING GOOGLE HAS RESULTS*
*Rattles through google's results*"
An outrage. Anyone else think so? |

I did notice that he asked which year Ken had said after many of the questions Eric.

Indeed, I bet I could have done better than 21 with my nimble fingers and speedy connection!
That's one of the problems with popmaster - an excellent quiz - but cheating is so easy!
Felt sorry for the other guy though, but he can at least say he got his 16 without cheating. |

I can't understand why anyone would go on Popmaster and cheat like the guy did today
After all there is no big prize and the satisfaction in proving to yourself that your musical knowledge is up there with the best is worth far more than a digital radio or even getting in Champions League
If you cheat everyone notices but even worse you know yourself that you're not really the best so what is the point of it? _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

Usually, when someone cheats (or does really badly) it's because they've got a long list of names to say "hi" to. I could be wrong, but I don't think Ken gave him the chance this morning (though he gave it to the loser).
And, yes, he did keep asking the year even though it bore no relation to the question. Sometimes you know it or you don't. |

It all sounded suspicious to me. Perhaps they should use more, "which band is this", type of questions- then play a little section of it- much harder to google those, or who is this, then play a little section of an interview with someone. Difficult though when you're up against google. |
