Sir Terry Wogan has attacked television presenters - branding most of them "talentless".

Speaking about one particular host, who he declined to identify, the legendary DJ said he was surprised he had ever made it to screens.

"I shall never name names. But watch TV for half an hour and you'll see one of them," he explained to Heat magazine. "Then there are all those who don't even have charm, let alone talent. Lord knows how they got on telly."

Sir Terry did comment a few names among many, however, first flagging up Ant and Dec. He commented of the pair: "People love them and quite right too. They have charm."

Another unlikely favourite is his Radio 2 stablemate Russell Brand, who he called "very intelligent". "He's quick and clever," he added. "Maybe a bit immature, but there's nothing wrong with a bit of immaturity."

============================

So Wogan is a fan of Russell Brand. Who would have thought it eh?

Yeah, Brand and Wogan seem to be a mutual appreciation society - there's been several reports Wogan giving broadcasting tips to Brand, and Brand showing due deference.

They did a joint act at one of the pre-Christmas parties for reporters apparently. I think he is referring to Davina as the untalented one

It's been at least 4 months since Terry had a good moan about presenters Laughing I agree with him though, most presenters are talentless, will have to differ about ant & dec though, I can't stand them (or Russell Brand).

I'm sure Davina's one of the presenters Wogan's moaning about, but I bet the nameless one he refuses to single out is Vernon Kaye - he's on all the time and is utter rubbish!

What is Terry doing in Heat magazine anyway? Isn't that a bit "young" for him?

Jay Leno and David Letterman for Radio 2!

Letterman for breakfast

Leno for Drivetime!

Didnt stop him going back though, did it? Terry knows how to create a little media interest without any help from PR's or journalists.

No, he is recording a TV series for UK Gold at the moment. That's why he is throwing a few shapes at his fellow presenters.
