Becky for some reason I don't know why Live to Tell by Madonna has that effect on me
Surprising as although I quite like her music I wouldn't call myself a massive fan
Possibly a link with something in my life at the time I suspect

I don't know about goosebumps but Elaine Paige's original Memory from Cats always makes the back of my neck tingle. Perhaps I was a feline in an earlier life.

There are a few that bring me out in goosepimpels (a peterborough thing)

Here's a few
Broken Heart - Spiritualized
This is my favorite song and this version when the harmonica kicks in, has me in bits, lyrically pretty powerful as well.

Sunshine (Adagio In D Minor) -John Murphy
Used in the film soundtrack to Sunshine AND Kick Ass a great piece of modern classical music

and Brassed Off - Rodrigo's Concierto de Aranjuez
I have always loved this piece of music and in general it gets me all the time but there is something about this version from the film Brassed Off played by a colliery band that really makes the goosepimpels come out

Doesn't matter though does it,ruddles..that's the beauty of music ....

Some people seem to have a problem with Andrew Lloyd Webber's songs,Ron, but he's composed some beautiful melodies...Memory being one of them

Love Brassed Off,Dis....lots of classical music pieces make me have goosebumps......here's a sublime piece

Thats so true Becky music can evoke lots of hidden and mysterious feelings
Another track that can do that for me is Jewel by Propaganda played quite often by Ken Bruce these days
It was from May 1985 around the same time as the Madonna track which I think was 1986 so perhaps I was having some kind of mid life crisis then even though I was only thirty Sad

Actually Becky to go with the track you linked on the first post, Al Greens version of How Do You Mend a Broken Heart does the same.

I think it's the fact you believe both singers are the ones being left Crying or Very sad

How Do You Mend a Broken Heart

Laughing

I think you mean "Duel" I think I was having a similar crisis at the time. I remember going to parties then and the 12-inch version of that and their other hit "Dr Mabuse" would get played. About 8 or 9 mins long each, and not just the once - almost made me yearn for a return to the days when they'd sit reverentially listening to the whole of Mike Oldfield's Ommadawn.

Weren't they protegées of Trevor Horn?

Ron the Propaganda tracks are somewhat confusing
They did a track called Duel but also did one called Jewel on the same album
The reason I know this is because I tried to order the original item from a guy in Abergavenny market who claims to be able to come up with anything ever released but needless to say this one stumped him
I'm still rather confused by the whole thing but anyway it was the single which reached No 21 in the Charts in May 1985 I was saying gave me the goosepimples
Oh Dear I'm getting them now just talking about it Shocked
