This is a repeat but one I recommend highly on tonight/tomorrow morning on BBC 4 at 12.05

From the Radio Times

In the 1960s, Detroit was at the centre of a musical revolution as Motown sold black music to a white audience and suburban white kids created a new rock sound as they took their rage into black neighbourhoods. Iggy Pop, Alice Cooper, George Clinton, Mary Wilson, Martha Reeves, John Sinclair and the MC5 are among those recalling the music that provided the soundtrack to the American decade in which racial equality was one of the defining issues.

Earlier in the evening there is a concert with Judy Collins, then a programme called Folk America.....

Thanks for these reminders Becky! I'd noticed earlier in the week but forgotten about them since.
