Along those lines, what a cringefest Evans was on The One Show last night, maybe Vanessa will be the female stand in when Miss Jones is on holiday.

Never really liked Adrian or Christine, but boy at least they were somewhat professional, I digress......

I think Vannesa will be quite good. As long as she doesn't talk to much. she is quite a good presenter, just in entreating listeners to call in she tends to over talk. That should not be a problem on the Early Show

Jeremy Vine disaproves! Surprised TOUGH! I disaprove of him, the obnoxious, patronising creep!

She could be OK in the slot. However, I am not an early rise these days. I will probably miss the show

I'll have a listen to Vanessa- it wouldn't be fair to damn her before she's even started. I've seen her on TV a couple of times recently and she struck me as a reasoned, intelligent person. She will probably be an improvement on the increasingly (before her "retirement") random, rambling, nonsensical and self-obsessed Bunty.

I don't know what Jeremy Vine has to shout about... his show is always miles better when he ISN'T presenting it. IMO he is an abysmal presenter and journalist- can't handle a debate to save his life and asks ridiculous and appaling questions. Heaven knows how he managed to have so many "irons in the fire", as it were.

Oh well, she's old and she's female, I guess it's all down to ticks in boxes. Or a case of 'never mind the quality, feel the width'.

I feel sorry for young people that want to get into national radio, it seems that you have to become a 'celebrity' first.

Not just radio but everything. "Celebrity" is an obsession now - witness the number of trashy glossy celeb-orientated magazines strategically placed at supermarket checkouts.

Ah, but Ms Feltz was a RADIO PRESENTER first! According to wiki, in the 1980s after her work with the Daily Mirror and the porn mag Men Only, she presented a Jewish radio show on BBC GLR (now BBC London 94.9).

I can't think of anything less suited to Vanessa than to work for Men Only
Guaranteed to cause a drop in sales I would say Confused

Ah, but have you seen what she looked like in the 1980s? Smile
