On TCEBS this morning , they were talking about getting out your Christmas stuff, and someone mentioned they've put their all year round mugs away and are now using their Christmas mugs.
How unfair is that?! The poor all year round mug does all the hard work, then spends Christmas in the dark, staring at the back of a cupboard door- where's the fun in that?! What sort of Christmas is the all year round mug going to have? If you were going to send the all year round mugs off to the Bahamas for Christmas- I could understand that- that would be like weyhey! for the all year round mugs but in a dark cupboard- come on- what about a bit of tinsel tied to their handle then spend Christmas on the mantelpiece- let them be part of Christmas , it is part of the year, and they are all year round mugs after all.
Let's hear it for the all year round mugs! Yay! |

Ah, but my cupboards have see-through doors (well, sort of) so my "all-year round mugs" will still feel part of the festivities _________________ MiS |

I dunno. As long as it's not just one on its own, a little time off out of the harsh kitchen light, the scalding hot water, the burning salt treatment of the dishwasher or the abrasive scourer to remove the tea stains, might be very beneficial.
In the darkened cupboard two could hold hand(le)s, whisper sweet nothings, touch lips.....
I think someone may have put something in my coffee. _________________ Ron |

The only mug I would like to see put away in a dark cupboard is the ugly one belonging to the show's presenter
Not just for Christmas either the whole year would be just fine _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

I don't feel too sorry for those mugs locked away in the cupboard.
At least they don't have to listen to Ken Bruce's music. |

More Coffee? Ron. I like the way you're thinking but you have to watch out for those see-thru doors- it would be like being on telly! Yay! |
