So George Bush is talking about trying to low carbon emissions and he's flying around in helicopters and planes and driving around in big cars flagged by his security team in large cars.
So how can he justify the US people when he's still polluting the world?
So whats the difference between the US president and Tony Blair when he goes around in on car with another following him? |

When I photographed Air Force 1 and 2 at Teesside Airport a few years ago, the following assets were used for Shrub's visit to Tone's house in his Sedgefield constituency:
2 x VC-25A (Boeing 747) - Air Force 1 and Air Force 2
3 x VH-60N Whitehawk helicopters
2 x KC-130 Hercules transports (US Marines)
4 x C-17A Globemaster III transports
3 x MH-53J Pave Low helicopters
The C-17s were used in advance to bring in the Whitehawks plus all of the Secret Service personnel and vehicles (lots of black Cherokees with people in sunglasses driving around southern County Durham); the US Marines C-130s brought in support equipment (one broke down). When Shrub flew from the airport to Sedgefield and back, no less than six helos were used - the three VH-60Ns to confuse potential SAM operators as to which one he was in, plus the three Pave Lows as aerial support.
The transports started coming and going four days before the visit and up untilt two days afterwards. The local police operation cost £1M as well, countless officers being deployed, although they weren't bothered about me standing on the approach to the airport photographing the VH-60Ns - I bet the Secret Service was taking an interest in me, though!
Imagine the cost of all this.
All of this for one man visiting his friend to have fish, chips and mushy peas in the Dun Cow Inn.... _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”
