Eileen, do you remember David Troughton (Patrick's son) as Dr. Bob Buzzard in A Very Peculiar Practice?
He's been in Midsomer Murders, though I detest that programme for its Daily Mail-centric view of England. _________________ We are loonies and we are proud!

If I remember correctly David Troughton made a very convincing gang boss in New Tricks and wasn't David's son Sam (?) in Robin Hood?

Yes, I remember the very first Doctor Who. It was THE talk of the playground!
Just think, it was transmitted live in those days. Can't see that being achieved now! |

You're right. It was recorded "as live" due to the complexity of editing early 2" Quad videotape back in 1963.
I have a friend who was a Tech Op trainee at TVC at the time who has many fascinating stories to tell about his time there. I remember being shown around TVC in the mid-60s and seeing the set of "Z-Cars". It shattered my illusion whenever I subsequently watched it. |
