According to Richard Allinson the 1963 record from Doris Day Move Over Darling is the sexeist record ever.
Do you agree?
My choice would be Summer The First Time by Bobby Golsbrough.
What's yours? |

Depends what you call 'sexy', I quite like 'I Touch Myself' (The Divinyls) although anything with a saxophone solo does it for me. _________________ Eternal nothingness is fine if you happen to be dressed for it. |

In terms of voice, most things by Kate Bush...
I agree about your choice though, very sexy film. |

"I wish I could fly" by Keith Harris and Orville the Inimitable Duck is the best. Gets me every time I hear it.

Move over Darling is beautiful
but then Doris Day was a genius - love all her songs
I don't think you can pick just one song - there are too many! |

Lucinda Williams 'Righteously' from the album World without Tears was often described as sexy when Johnnie Walker used to play it on Drivetime.
Have you seen this piccy in Jezzasexiles forum Ella?

Je t'aime wasn't that good I don't think
Eternal Flame is lovely though
I don't think they ought to have banned it (Je t'aime) though - that's a bit extreme |

The Beeb was already traumatised by having Tony Blackburn, Kenny Everett and John Peel on its airwaves in the late 1960s. Heavy breathing was just one bridge too far.
Handily, Tim Mycroft produced (as Sounds Nice) a tasteful instrumental version (called Love At First Sight) for them to play instead. _________________ Ron |

Yes Santa Fe, it was indeed recorded by our Frankie along with June Whitfield as "Up Je'taime" in 1971. We laughed and laughed....... |

Georgie Fame's version of 'This Guy's In Love With You', is a song I've always thought to be rather saucy, then again as a former Osmond Fan, I also quite like 'Let me In', used to be great for snogging to, in the 'olden days' _________________ I'm trying to stop trying, guru. |

The sexiest record ever is Curved Air's 'Back Street Luv' from 1971. This record, or rather Sonja Kristina, just oozes adolescent sex; a schoolboy's dream! _________________ There are two types of people: those who have something to say, and those who have to say something. |

Excellent track, I haven't heard that for a long time! c'mon BBC throw those twenty tracks away and open the vault..
I'm thinking there's a difference between sexy and romantic.
This Guy's In Love would be in my top ten for sure. |

Yeah, it was pretty sexy, saw them live at the Paris studios. Trying to be really cool, I smoked my 1st cigarette, ever, then had to rush off to be sick, whilst saying Hi to John Peel, who had his arm in a cast.
Good song tho' |

Lend Your Love To Me Tonight, by ELP, Greg Lake's vocal rendition is sublime, the final verse just says it all:-
Just lend your love to me once more
Don't ask me what I came back for
Just watch the moonlight cross the floor
And as your blood begins to roar
You'll feel your senses spin and soar
You will become my meteor
Divine and universal whore
Complete me.

This is about the sexiest record ever, not the most romantic and maybe if you read the other verses you would see it is a very sexy song. Verse 1 :-
Lend your love to me tonight
Don't ask me who or what is right
I have no strength I cannot fight
Just flood my darkness with your light
I need no face I need no name
No martyr's artificial shame
No crucifix I am not lame
And yet I ache to feel the flame
Arrest the sun and shoot the moon
The lamp of laughter dies too soon
To live reflected in a spoon
Makes it too hard to stay in tune
Believe me

Emerson, Lake & Palmer. What were called a progressive/heavy rock band in the early 70's. Keith Emerson is a classical trained pianist, Greg Lake guartars & main vocalist, Carl Palmer percussionist. The 2 most played tracks by ELP are Lucky Man and Aron Copelands Fanfare For The Common Man. Their most successful chart single was probably " I Believe In Father Christmas"
They were absolutely huge in the 70's & the 80's, they sold over 30 million LPs in the 70's alone. If you want to know more, there are many sites on the net.

Anyone remember this one?
Into my room he creeps
Without making a sound
Into my dreams he peeps
With his hair all long and hanging down
How he makes me quiver
How he makes me smile
With all this love I have to give him
I guess I'm gonna stay with him awhile
She brushes the curls from my eyes
She drops her robe on the floor
And she reaches for the light on the bureau
And the darkness is her pillow once more
How she makes me quiver etc... _________________ Ron |

Wasn't that one just credited to Greg Lake? I must admit up until now I'd never realised the connection, so I've learned something new today, thanks! _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”

The single is normally credited to Greg Lake, it was originally released on ELP Works Vol II LP 1977, the lyrics were written by Greg Lake & Peter Sinfield, (they were members of King Crimson prior to the formation of ELP & they co-wrote many of the ELP songs together). The music, although not credited to him, is an adaption of Prokofiev.

I believe in Father christmas had keyboards by Keith Emerson, although by this time Keith and Greg weren't speaking to each other. The video was criticised for not being Christmassy enough, until Greg Lake pointed out that it was shot near Bethlehem _________________ Geddon
