(This may have been going on for a long time, but I only really noticed it this morning while listening between 5.30 and 6.45)

We have long complained about presenters interrupting and talking over the start and end of records. Now it seems they have to interrupt themselves, for twice this morning (once each by Alex and Sarah), while in the middle of reading out someone's letter or e-mail, they said "I'll come back to that in a mo'" and a trailer crashed in. As if there's some unbreakable rule that such things must be played on the dot at a certain time.

I've always noticed that SOTS carries a couple of trailers at about the same time each show (once always after the Beatles A-Z) but at least Brian doesn't have to stop in mid-flow of an explanation or dedication.

I only wish this didn't mean that the preceding track went unannounced, or, at least, he would say " before the break we heard.... ". Likewise, I wish Brian would go back to identifying the 'Three-in-a-row segway after it's finished too.
