A few days ago I was telling Mrs W about a long-lost, rather eccentric work acquaintance and we laughed at some of her escapades. It must be at least 15 years since I heard anything of her.

Yesterday I discovered that the lady in question died the day before I spoke to Mrs W about her.

This isn't the first time that I've experienced something like this. Is this spooky or is it spooky?

Ian.

Ian,

Can't say I share the same experiences as yourself. They could be useful though......

Tomorrow, could you laugh at recent escapades of George Bush, oh and also Robert Mugabe? I'm not saying this might result in a better world but if we got one or two results this way it would put you into mega-celeb status Shocked

Here's one thing I'd definitely file under 'Spooky'!
Back in 1973 I had my first ever flight with the air cadets. It was a Sunday and I seem to remember hearing 'Good Vibrations' by The Beach Boys on the radio that morning. A couple of years ago, my pilot friend flew me over to France. It was my first trip across the channel in a light plane, and as I was driving to the airfield to meet up with him, what did I hear Terry Wogan play on the radio? Yes, Good Vibrations by The Beach Boys! Shocked
I'll leave it up to the individual whether to believe this or not, but it is a true story.

But the lady to whom I referred had already died when I had the conversation with Mrs W. I might have some difficulty in compiling a fantasy death list and then trying to turn it into reality!

I was having a coffee in the Borders cafe in Glasgow one day, as I stared out of the window I thought I must catch up with a guy I used to rent a room off when I used to stay up there.

The next day as I left the cafe, below the window I was at the day before, I bumped into him !. He had moved to the Isle of Man several years before and hadn't returned very often since. Spooky Shocked

Blimey! There must be something about coffee shops in Glasgow.

Last year on my birthday I flew over to Glasgow for the day - I'd never been there before in my life. On arriving in the city centre I went in for a coffee and took a seat by the window. As I was looking out someone stopped and waved in - it was a former boss who I hadn't seen for 15 years!

The weirdest one i can recall.

There was a TV show in the 80's looking at paranormal.

A lady aged about 80 had just died and it was her funeral.
Someone was taking pictures of the cars leaving the churchyard.

In the back of one of the cars was a lady looking out of the window.
It was the same lady who had been buried 45 minutes ago.
The negatives i believe were examined at Rank Laboratories and had not been tampered with in the slightest.

It still baffles me to this day.,

It showed the picture enlarged and the elderly lady was wearing a black coat with a black hat.

The weirdest one I can recall was of a similar programme that included the bloke in Cumbria in 1964 who took a picture of his daughter (I forgot which) up next to the Solway Firth. When developed, it had a picture of what looks like an astronaut in the background. Analysis of the film showed no faults or tampering. What was more curious was the visit he received from someone purporting to be from "The Air Ministry" wanting to take away the negs, etc., and who got rather tetchy when interviewing both him and the little girl. Seems the MIBs were interested in the case!

Moving towards the cryptozoologist side of things, though, the Kelly-Hopkinsville case really scared me when I first read about it back in 1978 or so .... about the same time I first heard of the "Mothman", too, after reading the chapter in Keel's "Strange Creatures From Time And Space". That freaked me out too, more so the 'Indrid Cold' aspect to the story.
