|
|
Okay - not one of those 'big cats', but the first time I've seen a Cat flying for ages - taken at the Whitehaven Maritime Festival earlier this afternoon.... lovely day, hot and sunny.
And a caption needed for the following shot - any advance on "It's behind you!"?

Superb shots Cherskiy!
I witnessed some jet action myself yesterday and this afternoon.
About nine jets in formation came pretty low over the Norfolk coast here yesterday and today another six jets with a larger plane followed by another six and finally a large plane with a pointy bit on the nose according to my wife. |

I see the chopper has got 'Stobart' on the tail boom. Is it one of Eddie's?! If so what girl's name did he give it?! _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

LEE: Stobarts were sponsoring the event - the company basically rescued the event financially at the turn of the year when it looked like it was going to be cancelled. That's their company runabout - it brought the family to the show!
Santa: these were for the Queen's Birthday Flypast - according to my sources, 4 Tornado F.3s and a VC-10 in formation, plus 4 Tornado GR.4s with a Nimrod in formation. All were inbound central London for a flypast. _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”

Wasn't today's big London flypast to do with the anniversary of the Falkland Islands campaign? _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

Thanks for that Cherskiy and was that you I heard mentioned at the end of 'his Bobship's' show last Saturday, if so well done! _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |
