What do people think of the new BBC Radio logos?
Are they worth £120,000? _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

I remember the gasps of apathy when the long awaited new station names were announced back in 67.
1...2....3 zzzzzzzzzzz I fell asleep then so I don't know if Radio 4 was around in those days.
Why does R3 look a little girlie? and, what on earth is Radio A with a cross through it?? Radio Apathy? |

Close. Asian network.
I think Radio 2 should have a pair of Chris Evans specks attached to it.
Of course now they need to repaint all the studios bright orange. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

I dont think they have put any thought into them. It makes the BBC look tacky over commercial radio logos. |

A sort of cross between the 1960s & 1970s logos. The 1960s logo with the orange of the 70s one!

I like them. There are some nice, subtle design hints in there. Well done, Auntie. |

I can see the clever design hints on 3, 4 and 7 and maybe A is supposed to represent some article of Asian clothing? but what about 1 & 2? are they so boring they couldn't think of anything? and why do you think the 6 extends to the circle edge? I can't think of a reason.
Although I really can't stand Evans, I think Ernie's glasses idea is good! |

Together, they look like the buttons on an old TV set.
Were they the result of a design competition for the under 5s? |

Perhaps Radio 2's blob could be fatter to reflect the waistline of some of its key presenters.
The orange could be a reference to Dale Winton's skin colour. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

Not impressed by them at all. At £120 a waste of the licence fee money.
Nothing wrong with the old ones!

Radio 2 appears to be the first to have the new logo on its webpage, this afternoon. _________________ Ron |

It's orange, but lucky Chris Evans hair isn't that colour anymore.

It might make Dale Winton disappear. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

Actually Radios One and Five both took the new logos weeks ago. In typical fashion, the new logo rollout is taking longer than a Russell Brand link |
