Would anyone like to nominate some favourite eateries--nothing too fancy, as some of us don't have bottomless pockets!
On my adoptive home turf:
The Badger, on the A696 near Newcastle Airport and on the way from Newcastle to Ponteland.
Away:
The Dysart Arms, Bunbury, Cheshire, which we visited whilst over that way for the Tatton Flower Show in July and to which we paid the rare compliment of paying another visit two nights later.

The Raj (Indian restaurant) in South Ockendon, Essex. The restaurant used to be a public lavatory!  |
