Michael Barrymore is to return to the limelight playing Spike Milligan in a stage drama about the comedian's life.
Surviving Spike, at Windsor's Theatre Royal, is the latest step in the former TV host's comeback.

Should be an interesting comeback. I always liked Barrymore, shame his life went to ruin after the death of Stuart Lubbock at his home. |

Bit of an insult to Spike. Spike may have had his demons but he didnt ruin other peoples lives. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

I'm sure Spike would be the first to admit to his demons too. He suffered from manic depression for many years and also saw friends killed during the war
Spike was not perfect but then who is, I tell you one thing though he was a damn sight more gifted than Barrymore will ever be. |

I don't agree with Barrymore being in this play, but were they to do a movie of this, I think Steve Carell (Michael in the US version of 'The Office', and the suicidal uncle in 'Little Miss Sunshine')should play Spike. _________________ We made a land where crap is king and the good don't last for long.
