There now follows my very best impression of Iain Smith
According to my sources Eamonn Holmes is standing in for Clive Anderson on 3rd February. Whether that's a one off or he's been given the job permanently I don't know. _________________ I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. |

Not a very good impersonation 6. Smith would have just said
According to my sources Eamonn Holmes is taking over Clive Anderson's slot on 3rd February.

Another good show from Clive today. Surely he should get the slot permanently. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

I'm beginning to warm to Clive Anderson, I never used to like him much but I realise now he is a very clever, witty person and a decent presenter. |

I caught Eamonn Holmes on KB's show this morning and I'm depressed already. apart from selecting Tiger Feet which cheered me up no end.
I know some will cry "give him a chance", but I just can't stand his voice, such a difference to Parky or Clive for that matter, he's just not the right material.

If you put 'away' in inverted commas it usually means something different, 'doesn't it'? _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

That will make it 2 voices I just can't stand on Radio 2 Evans and Holmes.

Dunno, can't explain it.. I don't find it an easy voice to listen to for some reason, slightly irritating, bit like O' Leary and someone else... _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

According to the Evans himself, Fiona Bruce is taking over the slot after February. Typically, he was trying to stir things up about why Clive Anderson didn't keep the gig. we've come to expect these things from Mr Evans...! |

Well if that's true, I'm really glad. I heard Eamonn Holmes on Wrighty this afternoon and I'm convinced I would turn him off on a Sunday.
Don't know about Fiona but she'd probably be ok.. _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

Well, if true that's much better than Mr Holmes. Have to admit that after all the hype I was expecting Eamonn to be there for the long haul - maybe my e-mails had an effect! |

I heard her once or twice on was it the Arts Show(?) a few years back and she was very good, so I think she'd be okay on the Sunday Supplement.

Hello Aitch,
Yes, Fiona Bruce was indeed on the Friday night arts programme. As I remember, she was looking after what was The Green Room for Marriella Frostrup. Now, of course, it's Matthew Wright's Weekender show. _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |
