Classic FM has signed Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, Alex James and Capital 95.8 DJ Margherita Taylor as part of the biggest schedule change in the station's 15-year history.

It seems to always do some schedule changes every few years?

It seems to be linked the closure of thejazz. Helen Mayhew is taking over from 12-2am with a jazz show. This is the first time Classic fm will have a regular jazz show.

Margherita Taylor was also on thejazz If I'm not mistaken.

Do any of them have credentials for presenting classical music?

Ian.

Helen Mayhew & Margherita Taylor are knowledgeable about jazz. Alex James was in Blur so I suspect he had some classical music training. Bowen I doubt, but he is taking over the old Henry Kelly slot.

Alex James sounds a bit too spaced out to be a presenter. He is quite an interesting guy, but you wouldnt naturally think of his as a radio presenter.
