Police gave chase to a UFO after it almost collided with their helicopter, it is reported. The police helicopter crew gave chase over Cardiff. The mystery aircraft zoomed straight at the chopper as the three-man cop crew prepared to land near a military base.
They said "that there was cameras on board and didn't pick up the object". I can't see that didn't happen as they would have picked up something. So I bet the film has been sent away too.
It does seem a little far - fetched.
Do you believe in them? There is something out there. It's was a little far from area 51 |

Might be the same one that hit a Romanian Air Force MiG-21 last October?

But back to the St Athan incident you mention....
There have been some rather odd reports coming out of BAE Warton in Lancashire for some years now about tests with certain "exotic" unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Indeed, Warton has its own "Hangar 18" (it's called the "Special Projects Facility" and is subject to heavy security, with access denied to even BAE employees). Some of these flights undoubtedly cause UFO reports in the NW of England but I wouldn't be surprised if the test flights venture further afield.... after all, there have been reports of "black triangles" over the UK for the last 20 years or so. Warton is supposed to be developing the Unmanned Combat Air Vehicle (UCAV), otherwise known as "Taranis" - a triangular-shaped UAV capable of deploying bombs and missiles, and able to shoot down other UAVs.
Anyway, if you believe all you read, the UK has/had its own "Area 51" (or "Dreamland", "Watertown Strip", "The Ranch", "S4" or "The Tonopah Test Range Facility", depending on what you know it better as!) - do Google searches on "RAF Macrihanish & UFO" and see what comes up. _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”

Yes, there have been loads of UFO reports round here in the last couple of weeks, which I assume are something to do with Warton. |

Everything that is unidentifed, flying & an object is a UFO.
Whether there were aliens inside it though, well thats a different matter.
UFO - maybe; Aliens - probably not! _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

hope they're not the illegal type...
but then, a real alien would be illegal too - 'specially if it was driving a coach and, it wouldn't have a licence either.
They're here! _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

Just to add that South Wales Police stated that the Air support unit did not pursue the UFO. _________________

I would have thought they would have used video not film. That will explain a lot. _________________ ONline, ONdigital and ONtherocks: BBC Radio 2. Eleanor Rigby, wearing the face that she keeps in a jar by the door. |
