It's over too?
Mark there are two too's that are wrong in your mail. Too means also.
Anyway, Cov City played rubbish on Saturday and still won 2-0
We've Aldershot in the cup this week (scared - we have a reputation for lowly teams trashing us, memories of Sutton, King's Lynn....... ) |

Apart from a few free trips to Old Trafford, the last time I paid money to go and watch a football match was in my teenage years, to see Wealdstone, whom I did regularly support.
Despite Wogan's periodic mention of the place as a running joke I don't think I've ever heard him mention the football club. This could be because they have lived a nomadic life in recent years, groundsharing with the likes of Edgware, Northwood, and even Watford (a calamitous move, following the most successful period in their history in the 70s/80s, when they won the then Southern League championship, cup and FA Trophy and consequently needed to increase ground capacity, selling their own little enclave in Harrow to Tesco). They have now taken up residence at Grosvenor Vale, Ruislip, five stops away on the Metropolitan Line, and play in the Ryman (Isthmian) Premier League, which is three rungs below the Football League 2.
Since the papers and television will be full of news and minutiae about all 92 league clubs (even bottom club Luton's progress will be keenly monitored, since they have a 30 point handicap to overcome) I thought I'll keep you up to date with life further down the well.
First match in the league is this coming Saturday, at home to Tonbridge Angels. Pre-season friendly performance has been mixed - won two, lost two, drawn four. One of the wins was against Watford, 3-1, in front of a home crowd of 837. _________________ Ron |

Big Phil Scolare of course!! Just watch Chelsea lose 3 matches on the spin and he'll be out the door! |
