These proposals will be given to Parliament this coming Thursday.

The post office has been struggling for years. People use Email to send letters and cards. I still wouldn't like to take away the old traditional posting a card as it's a personal touch. |

I loathe receiving electronic greetings cards. To me it's the height of laziness, and really impersonal, not to mention the fact that you keep getting reminders even when you've opened it, unless you plough through the subtext to find the bit where you turn it off. _________________ Minx

I don't even open email greetings cards. They're one sure fire way to get viruses on Windows and Vista pcs. |

No it doesn't - not the current wave of viruses and trojans. |

I hate electronic cards, I've told most people I know that if they send me one I will delete it without opening. Despite this people still sometimes send them and then ask "did you get my ecard" I have to answer yes I did but I didn't read it, I deleted it, bit harsh but does tend to get the message over. |

I have a friend who perpetually sends me jokes. I don't mind being sent jokes normally, but he has me on an enormous circulation list which is just prime material for some virus low-lifer to get his hands on. So if he asks I just say, "yes, but for some reason I couldn't open it". (Like ... my cursor just wouldn't click on it!) It saves any awkwardness. _________________ Minx
