Quote:
Each clash will last about 90 minutes, with ITV's Alastair Stewart hosting the first and Sky's Adam Boulton the next.

The third of the historic debates will be hosted by the BBC's David Dimbleby.

BBC and Sky will make their programmes available to other broadcasters simultaneously. ITV will make their programme available to other broadcasters immediately after transmission.

Discussions will resume in the New Year to finalise detailed arrangements for the debates.

It's sky's news correspondant Adam Boulton who pushed to have a televised debate. I really don't know why we need to keep following the US. I think it better to go out and meet the people who are voting for the party to win the next general election. At the end of the day I think it will be interesting to see what it will be like.

According to the Today programme this morning it will be a 'hand picked' audience asking pre-vetted questions. So much for democracy! Rolling Eyes

At the end of the day it will be dark, which is where all politicians like to keep us.

General Elections have coped in the past without big hype debates. It's just another PR stunt for TV companies. We don't need a big TV debate to decide who we should or shouldn't vote for. It will be interesting to see how this works.

How can the real party leaders- Gordon Brown & even the shallow clot David Cameron- put up with that meglomanian idiot Nick Clegg? Might as well be Nick Griffin. It will be a shambles with those lunatic fringe candidates in the debate.
I wouldn't blame Gordon for punching Nick Clegg during the debate

To be fair, they need to select who will get in. it is bad enough that the bonkers brigade will be represented on the platform by Nick "Call Me Bin Laden" Clegg
