After listening to the excellent Richard Allinson covering the Breakfast Show/setting me up for my day today, my schedule/employer requirements then took me to Buckingham Palace this afternoon, where I spent the whole afternoon with various members of the Royal Family.
It was a fantastic experience which hopefully I will be repeating later on this month. |

Cool Mark.
My Royal interfaces have been ever so slight. Long time ago Princess Anne walked about three yards from where I was standing, oh and I saw a helicopter flying over our town once and my dad said the Duke of E was in it.
Gonna give us anymore details Mark? _________________ -

Sorry no John.
But have to say they have a fantastic biscuit selection for guests-no nonsence on this front.
Interestingly enough I am back at the Palace on Wednesday this week-one of 192 guests attending a very special function.
The event finishes with a toast the Queen over a sherry! |

No doubt you'll be using the opportunity to recommend Richard Allinson for a K. Have you considered meeting the Pope when he's over here to talk about Beatification of your hero? _________________ MiS |

I've not been to the Palace(yet) but I've worked with one Royal and met a couple of the others, interestingly- they came to see me. Have a good time at the party Mark, oh, and if you see Prince Andrew poke him in the tummy and let him know that I'm still smiling. |

I was back at Buckingham Palace all day today.
Over lunch I said to "Queeny" have you been listening to the excellent Richard Allinson sitting in for Chris Evans this week on the breakfast show.
She advised she had-she said I think he is doing a great job-no talking over the records Mark.
I advised, as MIS suggested, perhaps a Knighthood for RA in the future-she smiled and scribbled it down in her little notebook. |

Well at least we know who Mark really is now- he must be the President of South Africa or one of his three wives... one for cooking, one for cleaning and one for...shopping! |
