I just can't get on with the hype for the above every day. My guess is that the makers are hoping for it to be the feel-good hit of the summer a la 'Mamma Mia'.

But as with the Abba karaoke movie, other things happened to take the shine off. Three women have been murdered in Bradford and I'm also anticipating the joy of filling out another form to say whether I'm fit to work if at all.

Somehow a bunch of overdressed trollops posing in Abu Dhabi doesn't work for me.

I agree with you. The way the mainstream media lap up all the PR from anyone and everyone with something to sell is annoying. You can watch BBC Breakfast one day and you'll see the 4 women from Sex In The City. Switch to GMTV and they're there. Listen to mainstream radio stations or read tabloid rags and they're there as well. And when they have no movie, or book, or record, or other stunt to pull they want their privacy to be "respected" and won't grant interviews with the media.

It bores the hell out me - and I can quite proudly claim that I've never watched SITC and I really don't want to now, either! Smile
