Back from a rare London visit, long weekend with some of Mrs W's family in Camden, and another chance to see the Notting Hill Carnival.

Almost a repeat of our last visit as yet again the plan was London bus journey from NW5 to the picnic area in the Meanwhile Gardens where the travelling floats can be seen and enjoyed, and some good Caribbean food, jerk chicken and curried goat etc to be had. Loud soca and/or calypso music mainly. The Sunday is the family day, no drunkards, troublemakers or pickpockets, just a very happy crowd enjoying themsleves. There was a torrential downpour around 3pm but didn't dampen spirits.

And on Monday, as last visit, walk to Parliament Hill, a large park with great view of London City and a live rock'n'roll band in the bandstand.

I did however spot a 'celebrity', a notorious one, took me a while to convince wife and friends that the person 20ft away was indeed Gary Glitter, or Paul Gadd, minus the white goatee beard. With friends/family, wearing sunglassess, bald head and a blue T-shirt with printed: 'You're looking at a LEGEND' Rolling Eyes

Evil or Very Mad You would think he would keep a low profile wouldn't you?

Apart from seeing the above sounds like you had a lovely time...
