Really enjoyed the race this afternoon, and the BBC's coverage of F1 is light years ahead of what ITV used to offer. The F1 Forum on the red button after the race is always really informative, and it was good to see Murray Walker back on TV.

Had to laugh when the camera panned to the crowd where a couple of lads were holding up a banner saying "Alonso - Dry Your Eyes Mate!" He really is getting into a paddy these days. Wink

Yes it was excellent coverage.

What a mess Red Bull drivers made at the start but still won it. Hamilton did well holding his place, but I think Kubica held up the rest for a long time, and Button did well too.

I think it was a bad move on Red Bull's part to take the front wing off Mark Webber and give it to Vettel. It clearly upset Webber, and was probably very divisive so far as the engineering teams were concerned. Still, that's probably what fired Webber up to put in a stunning drive.

My son knows a couple of the engineers at Red Bull (formerly Stewart Racing) here in MK and they told him that they've been working like crazy to get the cars into race shape this season. The pressure is huge on everyone, apparently.

The helicopter shuttle services that fly over our house en route to and from the circuit have now stopped. It gets really noisy from around 9.30am and then again after the race.

Nah, motorcycle racing is where it's at. F1 is better this year but it's still nothing compared to the bikes. Senna was a hero of mine, so I watched it during his career until he was killed at Imola.

I have a vested interest in GP bike racing, and World Superbike. Now that's proper racing.
