The new tune by Bon Jovi is pretty forgettable. The only memorable thing about it is the awful grammar in the nonsensicle title "What do you Got". They taught grammar when he was a kid back in the stone age. What's his problem? |

If we're going to go down this road....
...for me, a pet hate are song titles that take the form
Don't you just hate people who put (bits of song titles) in brackets (for no readily identifiable or sensible) reason?
Ie (Don't fear) The Reaper - great song, silly way of putting the title, most people ignore the brackets. _________________ One of the BBC's bad boys, seemingly. |

As my old headmaster used to say when any pupil was guilty of a grammatical error

Yep. I never saw the point of bracets in song titles. It seems a bit pretentious to me |

It's not considered bad grammar in the USA though is it? I've read or heard this and similar variations in US mags and TV shows several times over the years. Maybe it's a regional thing over there but I don't think it's incorrect as far as they are concerned.
Another thing I see several times on the US Ebay Classic car section is " It needs chromed"... missing out "to be".
I noticed many moons ago how, when entering a car, our US cousins will say " You get in back" which we would say is missing the word "the" - "you get in the back"..
