Mark why do you post this stuff on the assumption that everyone but you is oblivious to the news stories of the day?

This was a relative new story when I posted it. Since the story was broken there have been more developments. A sim card was found in one of the explosives. I wonder if this was a dry run to see what weakness are in airline freight distripution. Obviously Colin your not really interested, but some forum members maybe.

Given that I do quite a lot of flying, I am interested in the story. However, the story had come and gone by the time you posted. And all you did was posted a link. What's the point of that? Do you think people only look at this forum and nothing else?

Two women have been arrested in Yemeni capital. David Cameron has come out and spoken. I remember when Labour were in Government Blair and Brown used to speak up straight away. Maybe he was waiting to see if it was real or a hoax. I suppose this is the way our new PM conducts himself.

He'll have been waiting for advice from members of Cobra before making any public statement. It's not just down to him what statements he puts into the public domain - that's what top-level security advisers are for.

Cameron is in a tricky position. His partners in government, the LibDems, are supporters of Islamist terrorism

I can't quite see how you arrived at that conclusion.

The Lib Dems' Barroness Tonge has been quite vocal in her support of suicide bombers against Israeli civillians, even saying she'd be tempted to be one
She visited Hamas in Gaza and paid her respects to the "bravery" of the Hamas suicide bombers who slaughtered teenage girls in a tev Aviv Disco with an explosive device
Other leading Lib dems have also indicated that they thought Israel & Jews "legitemate targets"

Clive,

If the Lib Dems supported Islamist terrorism then they WOULDN'T have sacked Tonge, yeah?

Wasn't it Charles Kennedy who sacked her? He was, in spite of alcohol issues, one Lib Dem leader I had regard for
