Its not exactly surprising as all Governments tend to get the unpopular stuff out of the way early in the term of office hoping that things will get better in a few years time
Opinion polls at this point simply don't matter and are a waste of time
The polls in about 3 years time will give a better guide to the result of the next election
Margaret Thatcher was way behind in the opinion polls in 1981 but still went on to win a landslide in the 1983 election
I'm not a great fan of Cameron even though I vote Conservative but I think we need to keep a sense of realism when it comes to opinion polls

One of their biggest problems I believe is their leaders seat.
The first thing the government did was to cancel the loan to the Sheffield Forgemasters, will not do his image in Sheffield much good.

What did they expect when they are going to prune everything back. It's the back door to privatisation too. They are able to hire a photographer for £35k, but want to cut spending. It just doesn't add up. It be good to see which one would be on the left or right during the shoot.

LD's are already starting to lose their own candidates in local councils, some are changing to independant others are moving across to Labour.

One I read asked her electorate what she should do whether to stand down, go independant or join Labour, she was given a mandate to switch to Labour. That's a new one on me only weeks after an election.
