If this programme is the best they can find for the music industry these days then it's doomed. Rolling Eyes

All but 2 murdered some Beatles songs and some of the judges said they were great Rolling Eyes

I agree. It was beyond dire! Two of the judges (Cheryl and Danni) are obviously familiar with less Beatles songs than they have fingers on their rught hands, and Cheryl even chose a song for her protege that wasn't even a Beatles song! (Imagine, by John Lennon - published two years after the band split).

The choice of songs was utterly inappropriate for each singer (with the exception, perhaps, of Mary's "Something" which even then was a mimic of Shirley Bassey's murderous rendition) and it all proves to me that the so-called judges haven't got a clue!

"Why on earth do you watch it?" asked my wife. She has a point! Smile

Maybe you two should switch over for Strictly Come Dancing? Laughing which was pretty good last night by the way... except for the hideous performance by Anne Widdicombe! quite bizarre...

Saturday night telly is normally a no-go zone for me (I'm usually out doing other stuff) but last night the curiosity got the better of me. I wished it hadn't!

Anne to win SCD and Wagner to win X-factor that's the only sensible solution Laughing
