Watched this the other night on More 4
I'm sure there are many unsung heroes in the world but to see some of them at work is quite humbling......to see the transformation..takes time,mind...in these children brought about by dedicated teachers is a joy to behold....a rewarding job if ever there was one
Jason, Jamie and Jordyn are disruptive primary school children from Glasgow who make their teachers and classmates' lives a misery (not to mention their own). Then they're sent to "nurture class" - a learning initiative being implemented across the UK that places troubled children in special, small groups where they can revisit the developmental experiences they may have missed at home. A brief glimpse of Jason's mum, a recovering alcoholic, can't help but make you curious to know more about why these kids are so troubled to begin with. But like their devoted, incredibly patient teachers, this documentary focuses on the positive. Over the course of a year, we watch as their lives are turned around.
