I only rarely listen at that time but good to have someone else on at that time as I can't bear Zoe's gabbling!

Good that she's back. Zoe Ball's endless stream of praise for her baby is an instant turn-off in this house.

Lets hope not. Shocked

I have an awful thought they are going to use her to replace Ken when he goes, hopefully not sometime soon, and then we will have a near complete daytime lineup of ex-R1 80& 90s DJs , most unlistenable to me Rolling Eyes

I suspect Ken Bruce is on borrowed time-I don't think he will be around in the mid morning slot for that much longer.

In his place it could be well be Zoe Ball although interestingly enough Richard Allinson has made a number of comments/hints on his weekend shows recently to the effect that "he really likes covering the mid-morning" slot.

Finally really good Lynn Parsons is still in the controllers mind re cover slots-I really like her style of broadcasting. She seems to be very knowledgeable about the records she plays-funnily enough I respect that quality in a DJ.

I think Ken is one of the finest broadcasters on radio, and just hope to goodness that he keeps his current show. Radio 2 would be all the poorer without his wit and banter.

I certainly hope not, he's one of the best. The only reason I see him going prematurely is the current infest of ex-R1ers, which I think maybe down to the controller. This may also impact on SK, again I hope not. Very Happy

Lynn's got a busy Saturday if that's the case

She finishes her shift on Radio 2 at 8am and resumes on Smooth at 10am just giving me enough time to catch Sounds of the Sixties sandwiched in between

Absolute heaven Very Happy

Oh bother! When my radio came on I thought the voice was that of the screeching Ball and I turned over to Radio 4! Sad

yeah,
she is only doing weekends
will she be willing to weeks? or is she off the cards for the BBC and smooth?

for weekdays?-early mornings to take over from VF or CE, BOTH AN INSULT TO INTELIGIENCE.

Lynn Parsons as well as presenting her usual shows on Smooth on weekend mornings is covering weekday mornings in the absence of Mark Goodier this week and next on Smooth

A far better alternative to the screetching Ms Ball and the annoying Ms Feltz next week on Radio 2 I would venture to suggest

Yes - I heard Lynn saying this on Smooth last weekend. She's very experienced national radio presenter. I think Lynn is back in for Zoe again in the next few weeks.
