I've heard that John Walker of The Walker Brothers died yesterday (this unsubstantiated). The Walker Brothers were terrific in their heyday and Scott Walker is still going strong musically, even if in a rather eccentric direction.. |

Very sad news to hear this confirmed on the news. They were a fabulous group back in the 60s.

I was surprised to hear this very sad news as apparently John was performing in America as recently as March 2011
He contributed a great deal to 60s music and I'm sure still has many fans who will miss him _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

The first concert I ever saw was the Walker Brothers on the same bill as The Troggs at Morecambe in, I think, 1966. I can't remember much about the music as my 14 year old sister spent the whole performance screaming. |
