I listen regularly to Jeremy's show and have always found it to represent fair and balanced output - until today

Having just listened to around 40 minutes from the second hour today I have to say seldom have I heard such a biased and unbalanced discussion programme ever.

We had one contributor from the black community who as good as admitted that the riots were a cover for wanton criminality and a former police officer who to me seemed totally unrepresentative of the forces of law and order and who would seem to have got his feet under the Vine table ever since he first appeared on a very interesting show concerning the stress suffered by undercover police officers

I sincerely hope hope that the BBC receives numerous complaints about today's show as it is supposed to fulfil a role as an unbiased source of information and not as an apologist for criminality even 30 years ago

To me the show highlighted exactly what is wrong with this country today and why in this country many people no longer have any respect for decent standards

I couldn't agree more. Most of the people who were interviewed still find it right too riot.. It's a shame David Cameron didn't say the same as Thatcher did when the student riots happened in London.

There is in my view a world of difference between recent events in London and the rioting in 1981

Firstly the young people who were protesting recently had far greater justification for doing so in view of the fact they were conned by Nick Clegg as they saw it over the issue of tuition fees and the march was mainly peaceful with only a minority of protesters causing violence and criminal damage which obviously nobody would defend

However the rioters back in 1981 were exactly that - deliberate rioters who made no attempts at peaceful protest to get across their point and who used the excuse of alleged racial discrimination as a fig leaf to cover up blatent criminality carried out by well organised gangs of thugs intent on maximum destruction

Sadly those groups were rewarded by having their whole communities rebuilt (the very same ones they destroyed) paid for by the rest of us at a time when Britain was on its knees financially and was suffering cuts almost as severe as today

It really makes me mad that in this country if people can justify criminal conduct on alleged racial grounds then effectively they can do what they like with impunity simply because nobody wants to rock the boat by standing up to it

I didn't hear this programme Riddlescat so cannot comment but I would like to pick up on your ridiculous comparison Mark.

Firstly the rioters in London who caused "crininal damage" not the people who occupied F&M were a break away group only a few hundred and I suggest you google Blackblock Mark. It would not surprise me in the least if this breakaway small number were paid to do what they did by the right wing of this country to undermine the whole peaceful demonstration. But I have no proof of this.

They were no way either connected with the TUC who organised the march or Ukuncut who were involved in the occupation of F&M. This video below is well worth watching if you want to get into the mindset of Ukuncut I have nothing but respect for the leader of Ukuncut Adam Ramsey who I follow on Twitter.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yS_9tFaj3Yg

The representative definiately needs a haircut Very Happy but I love the bit with the dalek at the end, this has since been edited out but they put a cupcake on him Very Happy

I also had many friends who are severely disabled who took part in the march on the 27th March and they said everything was ok until they were kettled by the Police when the very small number (Blackblock) started causing criminal damage, then the whole thing changed and so did understandably the police reaction.

Ukuncut are a very large group of young peole who feel strongly and want to protect and change this country for the better. At last the young are taking an interest in politics and the future and it should be applauded!!

Shame on the BBC for their very biast reporting and the above video is clear evidence of that yet it never appeared on the mainstream news!!!! Why?

Btw if you look at videos of the latest youth movement in Spain you will see Ukuncut banners!!

The young adults of the world are standing up for what they believe in and we need to listen to them and if we don't it will be at our peril. They are our future Smile

They also have the medium to do it by i.e. twitter and facebook. The young people even those with good qualifications are not going to sit back jobless with no future and something needs to be done and quick! 43% unemployed in Spain clearly is unacceptable and bound to lead to anarchy!
