|
|
Is this the pettiest gripe yet? It really bugs me when contestants on Popmaster answer over the music clips!
Have they never heard it before? Ken plays the clip and then waits for the answer! He never cuts it short, and the poor contestant has to answer again because we didn't hear them.
Sorry, this just does my head in! |

The 2nd contestant doesn't even know the DJ's name! Good grief! |

They were a pair this morning, weren't they? First one decides to get the dedications off his chest at the end of his round inside of waiting to see whether he's got through to "Three in Ten" or not, virtually without asking, then the second says "Hello, Bruce".... _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”

I always thought the idea of Popmaster was to show off your musical knowledge so why do people only aim to get in the twenties. You can do that with 4 questions if you get all your bonus questions right!!
Also, what is this increasing trend of people preparing a great big bloody list of "hellos" to read out. Just pack it in you lot. It's irritating.
Don't you ever think that Ken must get a bit dismayed when the highest score out of the two is 9 for instance then that person goes on to win at 3 in 10? I do anyway. |

Just for once, I'd love to hear KB say "no" and cut the connection.... It's the "and everybody who knows me" bit that has me climbing the walls.

I think he is more peeved about the number of radios that end up on eBay. _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”

I do remember one contestant being absolutely useless, getting about 3 points, who rushed into his "hellos" and went on and on and on - it was clearly the only reason he rang. Sad, really. |

Yesterday I did Popmasters on my own at home and got 3 points in the first round and 21 in the second--where's the rhyme or reason in that?
Hope you enjoy the films. My son has already seen Casino Royale three times--that's three times more than his dad has. Should I find the time to go to my local multiscreen for it?

Oh yes, Casino Royale is great - I'm actually showing the film so it's a pity you can't make it over to Lancashire We only show good films! |

That sounded like the chap who was first on Tuesday. Pathetic, I'd call it. _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”
