First there was vinyl, then the 8 track cassette, then tapes, CDs, Mini Discs and DCC. Now the newest format is available -- the memory stick

As well as the normal 7" and CD versions there is a special limited edition version of the new Keane single A Bad Dream. It comes in a shrink wrapped sleeve and for your £3.99 you get a 256MB memory stick which plugs into the USB port on your PC along with a wristband to attach it to. The stick contains 2 audio versions of the track along with an audio cover of Depeche Mode's Enjoy The Silence, the video for Bad Dream and a competition to see the band live at Wembly arena (exclusive to those who buy the memory stick which is limited to 2000 copies). The whole thing takes up 51MB and as it rewritable you have 205MB to play with - more if you wipe the Keane stuff!)

This is the 2nd time this has been tried - the bands last single Nothing In My Way also came on a memory stick.

I wonder how good the USB stick is? 256MB sticks are around a tenner so even if you're not bothered about Keane, it's still worth it if you want a cheap memory stick.

The USB stick seems OK!

The last one was even better value as it was 512MB!

Just tried putting a CD against the sleeve and the disc is slightly bigger!
