Saying this as a labour supporter all my life i have to admit that Ed is not doing it for me.We have a weak pm who should be there for the taking but the public don't have faith in Milliband. He seems to be like a rabbit caught in the headlights but what is more worrying is the fact that there is nobody on the shadow front bench whom i could see as leader.I do have hopes for Andy Burnham but he is still a bit wet behind the ears _________________ I found out how you can hurt an insect. It's the bees knees |

I'm not a Labour supporter but I do feel some sympathy for Ed Miliband
It will take a very long time for the British public to forget the horrendous mess that the Labour Party got this country into during their 13 years in power so in a way he is the fall guy for Blair and Brown
Having said that if the present Government does not get the current problems sorted out before the next election I believe that Mr Miliband could perhaps unexpectedly benefit provided his party has the nerve to stick with him and not replace him with some Blair clone which I fear might happen
Politics tends to go in phases and based on previous experience Labour should be in opposition for a considerable time but we are not living in normal political times so who knows what might happen
My own view is that if the Conservative Party ditches Mr Cameron and brings in my preferred choice David Davis then Mr Miliband's task will become a whole lot harder _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

I could perhaps see Andy Burnham as a prospective Labour leader but at the moment he seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth.

I was watching BBC parliment (yes i know it's sad) andit was a rpt of the debate on Hillsborogh(sic) Burnham gave a strong performance at the despatch box.On that point it was a good and emotional debate and members from all sides agreed about the fact liverpool fans were not to blame. _________________ I found out how you can hurt an insect. It's the bees knees |

Well I'm not a Labour supporter but I do concur about Milliband, I'm sure he's a nice enough chap but he doesn't seem to connect.
Andy Burnham seems more 'normal' and could connect with the average voter far better I think.
The problem with politics at the moment is that it's all very 'beige' there very few strong personalties. |

I agree Toggy i do realize that labour were poor under Brown and the last few years of Blair and nobody can really blame the tories for this mess we are in.As for strong personalities Dennis Skinner is an mp i would trust and also have a soft spot for Charles Kennedy but i'm afraid the last BIG personality(and i hate saying this) was Thatcher _________________ I found out how you can hurt an insect. It's the bees knees |
