I saw it last night. What a scary film. Daniel Radcliffe did well as a young widower (with a four-year-old son) who attempts to provide closure for the ghost of a woman in mourning for her dead son.

I won't spoil it for anyone who is planning to see it but it was a good story - and I jumped out of my skin a number of times!

The one thing which mystified me was the name of Radcliffe's character Arthur Kipps. It seems odd that it is the same as the hero of H.G.Wells's book "Kipps" which was later turned into "Half a Sixpence".

I saw this film on Wednesday and I thought it was an excellent load of rubbish and really enjoyed it. And yes I jumped a number of times too. I thought Daniel Radcliffe was good - not that I can see him winning any Oscars but he did do a good job.
