The Australian billionaire who is in the process of building a replica of the Titanic has given an exclusive interview to the BBC.
Clive Palmer, who made his money in mining and property, is at an advanced stage of design with work on Titanic 2 due to start in China by the end of this year.
The new vessel will be 98% the same as the original, which sank 100 years ago. The only differences are safety related, and issues such as air conditioning in the cabins.
Mr Palmer gave BBC News a look at the plans and spoke about why he wants to build the giant ship |

Fascinating stuff... I'd love to see it happen and it would be great to see the "Titanic" finally steam into New York!
problem is, I've heard it several times before and they never left the drawing board.. _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

Will there be flushing toilets or will you just tip your chamber pot over the side? |

They can tweet for help on their mobiles.
Seriously though, not sure I really see the point of making another Titanic. |

Something about "a fool and his money" comes to mind here. |
