After waiting a lifetime, it, has arrived. It being having reached the age when it seems my friends and relatives think that not one, no sir, not two or even three madam , no, not even four but five yes folks five
tins of biscuits is exactly what I might enjoy over Christmas. I think it's a conspiracy. You see all the biscuits came from female friends/relatives who are , lets say , well: to put it bluntly, not skinny.
Either.
1. They think I'm too skinny.
2. They think I like biscuits.
3. They like biscuits but I never have any when they come around.
4. They plan to fatten me up, so we all look the same.
5. They plan to eat me at Easter.

I think the latter.

It might be more a case of "what do we get for someone who's already got (nearly) everything, that has a chance of being used and that looks fairly substantial in the wrapping paper without costing an arm and a leg?"
We've never had biscuits, not even shortbread from the Scottish contingent, but we do get coffee - boxes of Whittard's assorted coffees, which either taste of catpee or are so strong they could be used to tar the road, and, one year, a box of bottles of horrible syrup flavourings to add to your coffee.

It could be that, Ron, or it could be as Shakey says, 're-gifting . I do like the tins but I rarely eat biscuits, so there'll be plenty for when people pop in for coffee. I was just shocked at getting what is usually reserved for granny.

Oh I very nearly forgot about those Santa, they're back tomorrow. Cool beans. The biscuits will be yaffled in no time. The builders have about 5 days work left to do, outside. Block paving etc.
