Very unprofessional. The way BBC radio is now run is a shambles.

Even Radio 3 is a pale version of its former self, trying too hard to attract a younger audience and some of the 'non-serious' listeners from ClassicFM, the playlists at peak times are mainly popular stuff we heard at school or been on my shelves for decades, R3 presenters asking for texts and tweets ...... Rolling Eyes

There''s another thread on this just a few down the list. It's no biggy , still a good show, they should say if a show is a pre-record though.

This one was here first. Mark obviously pre-recorded his.

The person who complained must have been the last in the world who hadn't twigged the fact long ago.

On the scale of world-shattering revelations it must rank with those that the Pope is catholic and a that dog's nose is cold and wet (usually).

So it was. That's me told. Very Happy

Not telling us it isn't live is no different really to letting Charlie have one more sleep thinking that he might win a Golden Ticket.

I think the issue of not being live is actually quite serious if you're encouraging people to spend their money calling in to the station!

I disagree, even with live shows the chance of getting your text or call or e-mail read- out are vanishingly small but zillions of folk do it anyway, and there are many free ways in which to contact the show at any time. I think the BBC Trust have got it wrong. Just because they say something doesn’t make it true, it’s just their opinion. All calls made are eligible for inclusion in a future show.

If we're not allowed to say during the Broadcast, you can call at any time, then when would be a good time to Broadcast that information? It seems to me the best way to get through to SLS listeners is to talk to them during the broadcast- live or pre-recorded, radio is ever such a good medium for getting your message across. I guess we could take out an add in the Times... Rolling Eyes

They should say that it’s pre-recorded though. I agree with that.

Bruno Brookes used to present Early Breakfast and Live Sunday Chart. I wonder if it is some sort of 45 hour working week. I read Wrighty is in Monday to Friday from 9am and leaves Radio 2 at 5pm.

I think it was common knowledge Steve Wright pre-records shows as some of his afternoon show is. I suppose it's breached guidelines as they don't read forums as we have been saying it for years. Laughing
