Now..I really fancied seeing this. But ever since early last week, when I first heard the trailer to it...everytime Daniel Day-Lewis speaks...it's Montgomery Burns. Having listened to Tony Livesey at the end of the week, I'm not the only one. Mind you, he thought Homer Simpson, until listeners corrected him.

Well, so much has been written about Abraham Lincoln, surely someone wrote about his voice, the tone of it, and if historical evidence suggests Day-Lewis is fairly accurate then so be it.

How much did Gregory Peck research the voice?

I heard Tony talking about this too,raver....Smile

There was an excellent documentary on BBC Four about Lincoln a couple of years ago called Saint or Sinner....worth a watch if it is repeated,which they very often are on that station.
