Actor and Comedian Mel Smith has died at the age of 60 following a heart attack at his North London Home. He's well known for sketches with Griff Rhys Jones ( Alas Smith and Jones ) and Not The Nine O'Clock News. Very sad News.

This is one of those deaths that reminds me of my mortality. I mean, 20 years ago it was my parents' generation of comedians that were dying and now it's mine. Although Smith's career started in the 70s he's really the first big 80s comedy star to die and that's pretty sad and disorientating.
My favourite work of his was The Tall Guy. They should repeat that. |
